ABOUT GAME
'Echoes of the dead' is a 2D roguelike platformer where players control Tanzo, a wizard on a quest for vengeance against the monsters that destroyed his village. The game features challenging projectile-based combat, requiring precision and strategy as Tanzo battles through hordes of enemies. Level is procedurally generated, ensuring a unique experience with every playthrough. As Tanzo delves deeper into the haunted landscapes, he faces increasingly powerful foes.
DYNAMIC LEVEL DESIGN
In 'Echoes of the dead' the level design revolves around procedural generation, ensuring that each playthrough offers a fresh and unpredictable experience. Every time a level restarts, either due to player death or level restarting, the environment completely changes—new enemy placements and layouts await. This dynamic design adds to the challenge, as no two runs are ever the same. If the player dies, they are sent back to the beginning, emphasizing the roguelike element and requiring them to master the game's mechanics and adapt to ever-changing levels.
PROGRESSION
To progress in 'Echoes of the dead' players must descend deeper into the game's treacherous levels, with the final boss waiting in the lowest floor. However, the deeper Tanzo goes, the tougher the enemies and challenges become. It’s crucial to explore thoroughly, defeat enemies, and unlock all skills to strengthen Tanzo before facing the increasingly difficult foes that lurk in the depths.
If you feel like you have lost your way, restart the level from pause menu.

The game looks and feels awesome with the controller, the platforming seems quiet rigid and can be made more smooth specially around the wall jumps. The controller support really aids the game feel and it is a nice edition to the game. Enjoyed the game!!

I designed the platforming to be hard, you have to play at least 4-5 times to get the hang of the platforming.
About the wall jump you have to perform wall slide and then jump, the wall jump should be precise. I added a tutorial at the start of the game, i don't know if you read it or not.
But yeah i will try to make the wall jump smooth.

Most intresting thing I like is the autogenerated level making every gameplay intresting. About the tutorial part, I like the immersive one, indulged into gameplay, as that goes into muscle memory and echoes to the player way longer. For replayblity rewards can be distributed in a way to encourage the player to explore more. A little AB about that can improve how to place it correctly. "Echoes of the Dead" is an absolute gem of a 2D roguelike platformer. I had a blast guiding Tanzo through the procedurally generated levels. The dynamic level design is really awsome, with enemy placements and layouts that constantly surprised me. The progression system is challenging but rewarding, especially as you dive deeper and face tougher foes. If you’re into games that demand strategy and precision, this one is a must-play. I found myself completely hooked and eager to tackle the next run after every defeat.
